AMDFounded in
1969 and based in Sunnyvale, California, AMD
provides microprocessors, Flash memory devices,
and silicon-based solutions for our customers in
the communications and computer industries
worldwide.
Apache Software exists to
provide robust and commercial-grade reference
implementations of many types of software. It
must remain a platform upon which individuals
and institutions can build reliable systems,
both for experimental purposes and for
mission-critical purposes. We believe the tools
of online publishing should be in the hands of
everyone, and software companies should make
their money providing value-added services such
as specialized modules and support, amongst
other things.

MySQL
(pronounced "my ess cue el") is an open source
relational database management system (RDBMS)
that uses Structured Query Language (SQL), the
most popular language for adding, accessing, and
processing data in a database. Because it is
open source, anyone can download MySQL and
tailor it to their needs in accordance with the
general public license. MySQL is noted mainly
for its speed, reliability, and flexibility.
Most agree, however, that it works best when
managing content and not executing transactions.
PHP -
(Hypertext Preprocessor) open source,
server-side HTML scripting languaage used to
create dynamic Web pages. PHP is embedded within
tags, so the author authorr can move between
HTML and PHP instead of using large amounts of
code. Because PHP is executed on the server, the
viewer cannot see the code. PHP can perform the
same tasks as a CGI program can do and is
compatible with many different kinds of
databases.
Perl -
Practical Extraction and Reporting
Language is an open source server side
programming language extensively used for web
scripts and to process data passed via the
Common Gateway Interface from HTML forms etc.
Perl scripts are not embedded within HTML pages
and do not download to the web browser but
reside on the server. They execute by being
triggered from commands within HTML pages or
other scripts and may produce HTML output that
does download to the web browser.
